Traditional mouse traps, or snap traps, work very well and kill mice and rats instantly. Most trapping efforts fail because too few mouse traps or rat traps are used. Place two mouse traps or rat traps every to 2 ft. to 3 ft. along the wall to catch a mouse or rat. Snap traps work best when baited. The bait should be sticky to ensure that the mouse will disturb the trigger mechanism even if the mouse or rat touches the bail only lightly.
