    These 1940 Nazi bonds all feature a big beautiful blue eagle reaching across their entire width.  The eagle is clasping a wreath with a giant Swastika!!  They were issued in Berlin, the capital of Prussia and the Third Reich itself. They are GUARANTEED original and authentic, having been acquired directly from the Reichsbank in East Berlin upon reunification of Germany (where they were stored since WW2!).
    Each bond is individually serial number and watermarked. The text and design are ENGRAVED (etched
    into the paper
    ) not merely printed
    on
    the paper.
    The overprint in fancy black German Gothic letters reads "Schuldverschreibung" which means the Inscribed or Registered Debt of the Third Reich!!
    There is also a second smaller eagle and swastika engraved in red at in a circle at the lower left.
    The borders are ornately engraved in different colors, each representing an ever higher denomination!
