    Description

This is an Antique 1940's Solid Brass /Red Enamel TEXACO MOTOR OIL, MODEL 46A4324 COMPRESSOR INSTRUCTIONS Plaque.  The plaque itself is in mint condition - some of the red enamel paint has fallen away, but the brass plaque is perfectly readable with no damage to the plaque  itself.  The plaque has two pre-drilled holes - one on each side for easy wall display or rehanging anywhere.  The plaque reads as follows:
    "MODEL 46A4324
    INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: Fill compressor case to level through RED FILLER PLUG before starting with TEXACO MOTOR OIL S.A.E. 20 or other similar high grade oil.  CHECK oil level after 8 hours of operation. DRAIN after 25 hours thru BLUE PLUG and refill. SAFETY by-pass valve set for normal spraying pressure. This may be adjusted to suit operator.  Drain excess oil and moisture from valve on bottom of filter bowl."
It measures 4" wide x 2 3/4" tall and it weighs 1 ounce. This antique TEXACO MOTOR OIL plaque is complete and original; the brass plaque was removed from the original compressor in approximately 1960 - and has been hanging over a workbench, away from sunlight and handling these many years.
Most any Antique TEXACO  or metal plaque collector will likely be pleased with this 1940's solid brass plaque - it appears quite rare - I have not been able to find another like it.  See all photos for the best description.  Thanks for viewing and for your bid, best regards.
